Bread donation for the Local Winter Shelter.
The campaign is finished for this year – we managed to donate 219 loaves to the Winter Shelter with your help!
We are teaming up with the Rainbow Centre this year to support their Winter Shelter scheme which provides a warm meal and accommodation for the most vulnerable people in our community through the coldest months of the year.
With your help we are aiming to supply all the bread for the Winter Shelter which runs from December to February, every day of the week. That means we need to supply upwards of 30 loaves a week.
- Pledges can be made to donate one loaf a week for one, two or three months.
- We supply the bread at a reduced rate of £2.50 (£1 cheaper than usual).
- We make and deliver delicious and nutritious bread to the people that need it most.
£10 payments (per month) taken monthly via direct debit.
A bit more about Winter Shelter
Under the umbrella of the Rainbow Centre, working with Churches Together in Folkestone, the Winter Shelter runs from December to February offering emergency accommodation for up to thirteen guests per night over the coldest months of the year. Seven churches in the town host one evening in the week providing a hot meal and a bed to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
